I always believed preseason games meant nothing, but i was bored and decided to check out the preseason standings so far.  http://nba.fanhouse.com/standings

Is it a coincidence that the Orlando Magic are 5-0, while the New Jersey nets are 0-5?
Boston is 4-1 and Timberwolves are 1-4.  Maybe these preseason games aren't so meaningless afterall?

Geesh i wish the regular season would start though.

Of course it means something. Some of the things that made our 07/08 season so great was the quality and standards set during the preseason in Rome and London. It's the time of the year that the players spend together training, getting to know each other and learning. During the year there is little space for improvement in terms of new systems.

Well, right now there are only two games left for our star guys to get in gear for the upcoming season (Doc plans on resting them Wednesday night vs. the Cavs) so I guess it means that our back-up guys will be getting the usual extended minutes during these next three games. (if you're into watching that sort of thing  ::) lol  ;))

However, I must admit that I find the Celtic bench much more enjoyable to watch this season when compared with the secondary unit that helped carry an injury-plagued squad into the second round of the playoffs in May...

**has flashbacks of Eddie House draining rainbow-threes fresh off the bench, Brian Scalabrine shooting us back into game 7 vs the Bulls, and Glen Davis' game winning shot vs the Magic whilst simultaneously tryng to block out the memory of Mikki Moore's 'soft' post-presence/unnecessary fouls and the controversy surrounding Tony Allen's 'appearance' within the Bulls series**

...also, I kinda like Rasheed Wallace, though I'm not the biggest fan of him <<'Garun'sheed'ing>> games - not sure what his all-time record for games where he does this is, though I'm sure ESPN keeps a running tally.

**plz don't jinx us**
