Tony Allen for Acie Law.

add depth to the pg spot, and gets rid of Tony!

seriously.....how many times are u going to make this same proposal?  the majority of ur posts involve this scenario.  i have hated tonys game for yrs around here and want him gone....but how many times are u going to bring this up?  im not trying to a jerk, but this just annoys me.

I agree completely. I'd much rather see what Hudson does first. If it's clear he has nothing, THEN consider a trade for a backup PG.

STOP!!
Let's take a collective deep breath and imagine another possibility -- that Doc Rivers and Danny Ainge are not anywhere close to as anxious about getting Tony Allen off this roster as folks on this blog.  It may be, in fact, among the furthest things from their minds.  It's possible that they see Tony as a decent 12th guy on the bench who cheers for his teammates, can mop up in a blow-out, can play some defensive roles in practice -- and, who knows, once in a blue moon can be injected into a defensive situation with some success.  And, after all is said and done, he represtents 2.5 million expiring that they can use to save a little $$ for next year or toss in for a deadline deal.

What is it that you want from the 11th or 12th guy on the bench?  PLEASE -- enough on Tony -- he is not a cancer on this team and, despite his legal issues (which seem to have been more about immaturity and impulsivity than being a bad human being), seems an OK guy and seems liked by his teammates and coaches.  Way too much energy invested in a non-factor.

Haha...great observation! I am going to make this proposal, for everytime somebody puts up another unoriginal annoying what-to-do-with-Tony Allen post. And personally the reason i keep harping on this specific move, is because I honestly feel that Acie Law is the only player whose contract and skill set match TA's, in the L.

People keep bringing up different  trade scenario's with players who being traded for TA would be so obviously lopsided it just would never be proposed because it wouldn't make sense.  If we are seriously, as C's fans, trying to trade TA we have to look at Acie Law level-type players, because thats where TA's equal trade value level is at.

I feel that the only thing the C's seriously need is just another PG, and acie law is Tony Allen with ball handling skills, which makes him slightly, very slightly better and more valuable than Tony Allen For The Celtics.

I would prefer not to keep harping on this trade proposal, but every time i see a Tony Allen trade post, and see people talking about players who are way above TA on the skills level/talent, i feel i have to splash a dose of reality, to remind people we are talking about Tony Allen, and not Ray Allen.
