From today's game you can see that he worked on his offense in the summer. I won't be surprised if he averages double double during the course of the season.

Perk is a new man this year ... seriously! I'm watching the replay on Comcast right now, and he is faster, more agile, has more confidence, moves better in the post, jumps higher, and gets down the floor first ... all these things were problems before now. He's also not putting the ball on the floor before shooting as much, and that was a bad habit he had ... teams were just waiting for him to do that, so they could steal the ball. To me, the "Perk-o-lator" is a new man and in the best shape I've ever seen him in ... this is the nicest surprise about this team this year, and once they get "in the groove", this is going to be one hard team to beat!

If he adds a couple more moves that are based on his strenght and new found quickness he will dominate any man out there, looking forward seeing him against P.Gasol  ;D

To all those who 5 years ago told me I was crazy for how much I loved this kid:    I told you so.

I have been on the Perk bandwagon since day one and even I am very impressed with what I saw in Perk last night.  He is in great shape and it shows in his game.  Poor guy didn't even take a honeymoon so he could get back to work after his wedding.

I love Perk.

What I like is that the poor guy isn't poor.  And he has a loving wife and baby.  He's worked his butt off (somewhat literally) and has been a constant backbone of character on this team (to mix body-part metaphors).

He's been my favorite Celtic all along and I couldn't be happier for him.

And the BEST thing with Perk is that he is ONLY 24..he still has a 4-5 year window of growth.

And with KG and now Sheed to mentor him, he will continue to grow.

I can see him as a long shot All-Star selection this year, and a probable pick next year.

You go Perk!

He does keep getting better.  I remember posts predicting his offensive ceiling at or about 8/5.  Now folks are predictable a double-double average.  Many of us (and not to our credit since I am sure all who saw something in Perk also saw something in Gerald, Marcus, Orien, Sebastian, etc.) love Perk and couldn't be happier for his success. If not for a questionable shoulder I'd be removing his ceiling completely.  He'll probably never be a reliable shooter from beyond 8-10 feet or handle the ball with a PGs finesse, but I can't think of anything else offensively or defensively that he isn't capable of as a big man in this league.

Start with hard work, throw in a positive attitude, acceptance of coaching, solid BIQ, good size, great strength and OK talent and you've got 'just a guy' on verge of being an all-star.

Perk is definitely a pleasant surprise with this years improvements. I think he needs two more things to become an all star, better free throw shooting and less foul trouble. Get that average up to a solid 78% and stop taking himself out of games with fouls. The post play and rebounding are in great shape, defensive rotation, pick setting and passing are very good.

He will already get some serious all star consideration for being the starting 5 man on a top contender. If we are way out in front in the division at the break, he could be on this years roster.

I've really liked what I've seen from Perk so far. I want to see him play against bigger players. Houston and Knick's frontcourt were a bunch of fruitcakes.

I don't know if I told you you were crazy for liking him 5 years ago, but I'll admit I was one of those that had my doubts 5 years ago. After 3 years in the league, it wasn't clear that he was ever going to get "it".

Then, just after his 3rd year, who did Ainge hire? Clifford Ray. The rest is history. Coincidence? I think not. Perk had the talent all along, but to this day, I'm not sure he would have blossomed like he has without Clifford Ray. And believe me you, I'm so glad he did.

He has said avoiding fouls is a priority he has been working on, and from what we've seen of his work on his game his free throws will be better by next year.
