In today's Herald:

“I was like a kid in a candy store running around with his head cut off a bit out there, but it’s coming,” Garnett said after sitting with his right leg in a large therapeutic boot.

This is why your 10th grade English teacher taught you not to mix metaphors!!

I'd like to think it was intentional because it was really funny.

Don't count your eggs before you look in the mouths.

I think even a kid would not be to happy being in a candy store without a head.

My teacher woulda said it was a simile, but that's ok = P

Seriously, though.. KG has the best quotes in the NBA bar none.

Correction... "KG has the best quotes in the NBA hands none".

You're welcome.

"KG has the best quotes in the NBA bar none" is correct.

"KG has the best quotes in the NBA hands down" is also correct.

"KG has the best quotes in the NBA hands none" is a mix up that doesn't really work, much like a kid in a candy store with his head cut off...

Oh that makes sense. Or does it not? Is it just me or is the world about to implode?

Metaphors and similes, idioms.. Not toys to be played with.
