One of the players that was mentioned as a possible backup PG option is off the market:
"The Pistons have signed guard Chucky Atkins and forward Maceo Baston to non-guaranteed contracts.
Detroit will open up training camp with two-a-day practices on Tuesday.
Atkins was released by the Timberwolves recently and could have a decent shot at making the team as Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum are the only point guards on Detroit's roster.
"For me to think I'm going to be released a couple of days before training camp starts and come here and compete for significant minutes would be sort of crazy," Atkins told the Detroit Free-Press."
