Gary Tanguay doing the work that the rest of those  covering the Celtics are shockingly incompetent at, revealed today that KG's knee is still sore (one can imagine after 80 regular season games and playoffs, what that knee is going to be like if it's hurting him now) and Tony Allen has continual ankle problems and likely will miss most of training camp.

Well, for Garnett, the best thing the Celtics can do is deal for a replacement impact player, of course, that's not the easiest accomplished of tasks and will take time and the right conditions.

Something much more manageable is a buy out of Tony Allen, who injured or healthy offers nothing to the Celtics. The Original F Em Up guy is so radioactive, that they can't even give his expiring contract away. Teams wants the Celtics to toss in cash with any deal that Tony is involved in, so he can be bought out. From a Salary Cap and Luxury Tax perspective, it's better for the Celtics to just offer the thug-wannabe a buy out and be rid of him.

Not my opinion, I'm just looking for updates.

If KG ain't right come playoffs, this season is over before it started.

What's Tanguay's source?

I'm going with what 99% of the people gathered at Media Day said, and believe them when they said that KG is feeling good.

Haven't you ever come back from an injury of any kind?  Tendons lose their elasticity and muscles atrophy from lack of use when you are healing.  When you first start using them again, they hurt.  As they get stretched, strengthened, and loosened the pain gradually goes away.  Geesh...give it a chance.  This appears to be paining you more than it is paining KG.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...

I hope you're right that it's just because he's fresh back on the court, sounds right I mean. Just that in all the interviews he is experiencing no pain. All of a sudden Tanguay interviews him and he says it differently. Only time will tell I supppose, and here we all want our guarantees, not answers mind you, right now. I just read what was written on comcast, and did not see the live interview. At ten it is shown again.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Looks like he got it straight from the horses mouth.

They've got a clip of KG saying it on FSNE.

These guys keep flip flopping on their own words.

I know I'm wrong for this but I don't see Tony's inability to play as bad news.
