4. Ray Allen(notes)

For years, Allen was considered to be just a step behind Kobe Bryant amongst the league's off guards, and that may have been a solid assessment, but it was a huge step, and an assessment that doesn't quite hold up on the decade-long tally.

Allen's been fantastic, and improperly criticized at times, but his all-around game (the rebounds, the assists, the D) just isn't there in comparison to the men who made the top three.

Still, Allen can shoot. And he works at it. And he can shoot. And he scores well. And he has a ring. And he can shoot. The next three-pointer he hits will be his 2300th, he's averaged 20.9 points per game on the career alongside stellar marks of just under 45 percent from the floor (consider where his attempts are coming from), 40 percent from long range, and 89.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Only problem with the list here  is Vince Carter at 3 and where is his cousin Tracy McGrady?--talent wise Vince maybe should be there but he has seldom played at that level for any period of time and has achieved very little.

Whoever wrote that must not have watched A.I. much when he was young. I would take him over Carter any day of the week. Also, Ray is above V.C. too.

He´s at least second in my book, definitly above Carter.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I agree that AI should be higher, but Ray should have been #3 and AI 4. championships count. and AI hasn't had a good decade since 2003. Vince at 3 is absurd. Vinsanity doesn't even have the "never played with anyone" excuse.

did a personal friend of vince carter write this?

Thats the only way i can justify him at 3. HE should be 5 or 6. He's supremely talented, but rarely does he play to his full potential. Consistency should count.

When vince is at his best, he's very good. But that is not often.

Yeah, Carter shouldn't be 3. Rip is underrated on the list, so is Manu. Redd is overrated. Considering it's for the decade, Roy's a bit high.

My list:
1 Kobe
2 Wade
3 Manu
4 Allen
5 Iverson
6 Carter
7 Hamilton
8 McGrady
9 Roy
10 Redd
Go Celtics.

Rediculously flawed list. Doesnt PP play the same position as Kobe AND Dwade? None of them are shooting guards. Bogus list. Pure SG? Ray is # 1 with Manu a close 2nd.

I agree but put Vince on a winning team and watch this guy BEAST. Im telling you he is a clutch performer and his career mirrors Paul Pierce's if he never ended up with banner 17. Look out for Orlando this year. They are better

My list:
1 Kobe

3 Manu
4 Allen
5 Iverson
6 Carter
7 Hamilton
8 McGrady
9 Roy
10 Redd
I'd say my list goes something like this:
1. Kobe
2. AI (even though his game has dropped off dramatically, he's still the third leading scorer in NBA history)
3. Wade
4. Allen (best. shooter. all-time. period.)
5. Ginobli
6. McGrady (he'd be higher if he was healthy his whole career and knew how to get out of the first round of the playoffs)
7. Joe Johnson
8. Gilbert Arenas
9. Durant (he'll be a lot higher by the end of his career)
10. Roy (same as for Durant)

here's a better and way more accurate assessment of top SG's: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/62419-erick-blascos-top-30-nba-shooting-guards/page/2

I put AI and Ray over VC and Wade.
