'Phil Jackson mulls distractions.'  I read that article. In it it says that the Lakers are considering a starting lineup of Bryant, Artest, Bynum, Odom, and Gasol; tall and very, very good. I must admit that we can talk all we want, but the Lakers are very, very good, if not better than us.I hope not, but they very well could be.

I don't care about the Lakers. They won't even make the Finals this year...and if they do I am confident we are much better

Won't happen & Won't work. I can see Phil using that lineup occasionally, but that won't be their starting lineup. Tony Parker & Chris Paul would run wild against that lineup. Artest can't keep up with the quick 2's (ask Brandon Roy) Odom doesn't have chance against Carmelo, Durant........... Could you imagine that lineup against uptempo teams (Warriors)? And also their bench would take a major hit without Odom. Luke Walton as your 6th man has failure all over it.

Their bench sucks with that lineup.

And Artest doesn't scare me one bit. Paul likes to burn Ron every chance he gets so I'm not worried about him. He's really an overrated defender since the NBA shys away from physical play and that's his strong point. I'd rather have Battier.

Kobe-Pierce
Artest-Daniels
Odom-Garnett
Gasol-Wallace
Bynum-Perkins

Nothing we can't handle.

This sounds more like around the NBA talk than Celtic Talk.

Word. I'm much more worried about the Spurs.
