Hoopshype has headlines about the Timberwolves looking to trade Mark Blount.  ::) I almost busted a gut laughing.  Question:  What is he worth (if anything)?

He's a $8 MM expiring contract. My guess is the Knicks send Jeffries and a 2013 1st rounder to the Wolves for him.

Nick, I had the Knicks in my head too.  The land of players with questionable character and questionable contracts.

I would actually trade T. Allen and Scal for Mark Blount. I really would. Blount is a legit 7 footer which would give us some more depth against the Shaqs, Gasols, Bynums, Duncans and Howards of the NBA. As for his past attitude, I know Blount was a real jerk (for a lack of a more descriptive word) when he was in Boston and Minnesota. But I think around Ray Allen, KG and Sheed we'd probably see a more tame Blount. I'd take him. I am surprised so many people are so interested in Delonte who's a guard and not another legit center in Blount.

Seven feet of pure sloth and evil.  He is not depth, he's a cancer that only looks to score.  I am at an utter loss to come up with a circumstance where I would trade for him.

If Danny traded for Blount my guess is that Doc would quit and enter a short lived retirement before getting hired by the Nets this off season after they sign LeBron.

Let's trade KG back to Minny for the expirings of Blount, Cardinal and Daniels -- we need cap space to sign Lebron.

Nope, it says "Looking to Trade" and that is what made me start this thread.  I was thinking that they must be nuts to not just waive that sack of crap like fanning a horrendous fart out of a car window.

The fact that they think he is tradable is what I find so amusing.  Have they actually put feelers out there and gotten some positive feedback?  It's probably Chris Wallace in Memphis willing to give up Rudy Gay in exchange for "The Blount".

Props for having the gall to say this.  I agree basketball wise. Trouble is, everyone on the team hates him, including staff, so it wouldn't work.  We need Scal's depth at multiple positions more than an insurance policy's insurance policy.
God bless and good night!

Mark Blount has been mailing it in since the final year or so of his Celtics stint.   When he first came into the league I appreciated him because he worked hard, had been undrafted I think, and pulled himself up into being a solid contributor.

Then something changed big-time in his attitude.  Don't know what it was, but in the latter part of his career its my opinion the only thing he's showing any enthusiasm for is cashing his checks.

Good for him I suppose, he's a millionaire and I understand from someplace that he's been careful with his money.  So he's set.  So is his reputation.

Well it won't be with the Timberwolves, they told him to go home for the year.
