Who's going to lead Celtics to the NBA finlas this season?

Only a sufficiently healthy starting five of Perk, KG, PP, Ray and Rondo are going to get us there.  It's more of a guarantee if we also have a perfectly healthy bench of Sheed, BBD, Marquis and House as well.

I guess my answer as far as a leader is Mother Nature (aka Health).

TP. Definitely agree with this. Pierce just brings that consistency game in and game out. We rely on him a ton and he has not missed any time due to injury in the past couple years. I think we could definitely adjust a lot better if garnett were to miss time with our added front court depth as well as an improved baby, and i think we could adjust a bit if ray ray were to miss time with eddie and now daniels.

I really don't think we refuse to replace posey. Who do you suggest we pick up or trade for? Marquis Daniels will spell pierce this year when he is not giving ray a break. Also Pierce only played about 1.5 more minutes a game this past year than during 07-08. I do agree that if Pierce goes down we will take a big hit obviously. He has been the most durable out of the big three during his career though only having missed significant time in 06 07, and he seems to have bounced back from that fine playing in 161 out of 164 games in the past 2 years.

Just because Pierce isn't playing more minutes doesn't mean our team isn't suffering.

I don't really see how are team is suffering. We had a pretty unbelievable year last year considering the circumstances.I guess I don't see how are team suffered last year without Posey. I think it wwe missed KG just a little bit more than Posey. Also don't see your point about us refusing to replace Posey when we did aqcuire daniels

You saw the Chicago series. This was the first of many series where Rondo dominated the whole court every game of the series.

Yeah i saw the series and it was unbelievable. With that said it was 1 series and he fell off a bit during the Orlando series (although not as much as some people seem to think). We don't need a triple double every night just all around consistency and no dissapearing acts. He should also be dominating on defense more than he has..

  Look at the minutes he played against Chicago. It's not surprising he couldn't keep that play up forever, just like Paul and Ray ran into trouble vs Orlando.

Rondo is without a doubt the key to how well this team does and how seemlessly it runs it's plays. That said, if KG doesn't stay healthy, well ... we saw the results of that far too clearly last year. These boys have GOT to stay as injury-free as possible.

First, if we are not healthy, and I mean for the most part, we will not be in the finals. Assuming we are there, it will be a combination of players. Defense wins titles, and leads you to compete in them, so I have to go with KG. Obviously other players will contribute a lot with Pierce, Ray and I think Rondo will do a lot more then you might expect. Bottom line, if KG isnt leading us mainly, we are not there. Pierce is a very, very close second.
