  • LETS DO IT AGAIN!
Celtics open practice is 10/16 at Lowell Tsongas Arena @ 7:30pm (Friday)
Season ticket holders only, but I bought extra tickets on eBay last year for $5 each.
No assigned seating, but courtside is off limits unless you have courtside seats. ($500-$1250 per seat per game)

They used to give out free stuff, but not last year...
It is a good time in a small venue, then BBD addresses the crowd and introduces everyone. (He did the last 2 years.)

Cheerleaders were there too.

Exclusive Season Ticket Holder Open Practice - Friday, October 16
Head Coach Doc Rivers and the Celtics invite you to take an inside look at what a typical workout is like at the annual Season Ticket Holder Open Practice at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 16 at Tsongas Arena located in Lowell, Mass. Watch your favorite Celtics take part in drills and scrimmages as the team prepares for a run to Banner 18.

RSVP and ticket distribution details will follow next week.

these practices are boring.  the old ones they held at healthpoint were unbelievably cool....but that was when they were a struggling young team with not as big of a fan base.  i miss the old bbq's too

I got into one of those a few years back (practice at healthpoint) right when KG went down with injury; it was on superbowl sunday and maybe 50 of us were there; it wasn amex rewards thing, and it was awesome.  Ate a buffet breakfast; JoJo was the keynotes speaker. Tons of raffles, got to meet celtics dancers (meh) and JoJo, then the main event. Full practice in prep for a game the next day.  I was impressed with how businesslike the team was.  I realized Rondo was amazingly fast; Pruitt was useless, Doc yelled at him multiple times for not knowing what he was supposed to be doing, and everyone could shoot.  Ray hit about 20 in a row from outside.  It says a lot for the defenses in the league that shooting percentages are what they are, because watching House, Ray and Scal, you'd think they could shoot 80% in a game.

We keep looking for it to see if it comes back online, but so far no dice.

I went to this practice last year... it was pretty meh as far as I was concerned. Not very lively, although seeing Ray shoot up close and personal, and NOT MISS A SINGLE ONE was pretty cool.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.
