At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wasn't Chicago's interest in Arroyo already debunked as a ploy by his agent to drum up interest in Arroyo. I won't believe the C's have any interest in him until it starts coming from reliable local sources, not Evan Clinchy.

The article, written before Daniels was officially signed, seems more like a pitch than information.  As others here have said, I take it with a huge grain of sodium.

That being said, if the C's gave him a tryout and then signed him to a 1 year $1 M deal, I'd be fine with that.  He's a perfectly decent backup PG for the limited minutes he'd play, and the price is right...

i would take a flyer on arroyo for sure, the kid is talented, and would simply be a backup so daniels can focus strictly on backing up the SF and SG spots

Arroyo is ok, but I've heard that he is a PITA.  Thinks he's better than he is. Not a good defender, but decent offensively. He can pass and create.

IMHO there are better options. I'd prefer someone younger, and my first choice would be Mike Taylor.  But I would also be content with Dee Brown or Lionel Chalmers.  If they want a veteran, I would look at Will Solomon or Mike Wilks.

Any backup PG would be OK.  I don't think many are going to beat out House anyway.  So it'd really only be for depth purposes.

when I first heard this rumor I didn't feel either way about it. Now I'm leaning towards liking the idea of trying him out for cheap/short money. Still it's funny how divided people. Definitely a love him, hate him situation.

whats the deal with arroyo? I recall him being pretty solid in his first few seasons then just completely tailing off. He's still pretty young so i like the idea but i might just have this idea in my head that he's decent when he's really not. Any thoughts?

Unless a big name gets waived, here's our backup PG: Lester Hudson.

I'm ok with Lester, I would much prefer we at least see what he can offer than just letting him go. There's always Europe for the year but I'd prefer to see him here for the season.
