"On Thursday, the Los Angeles Clippers extended a contract offer to point guard Carlos Arroyo, a source close to the situation tells RealGM's Alex Kennedy.

While terms of the deal were not revealed, it is the only offer Arroyo has received this summer.

Arroyo's last stint in the NBA was with the Orlando Magic. He averaged 6.9 points and 3.5 assists per game in 2007.

Last season, Arroyo led Maccabi Tel Aviv to an Israeli Premier League Championship and was named Finals MVP.

He would be the fourth point guard on Los Angeles' roster, which suggests that they're no longer pursuing restricted free agent Ramon Sessions."

Memphis and LA Clippers are also in the quest for a PG. I would love to know what Ainge has in mind ::)

Could be that Arroyo won't consider the minimum, which is all the C's could offer him.

with all the respect for him and all of you...I REALLY THINK HE'S OVER OVER OVERRATED...

I'm argentinian and i had the chance to watch a lot of games of him and his game is very similar to your lovely Telfair...very good skills, very good shooting touch...but...assist?? what's that??

oh, and why he ran away from Sloan..of course...he doesn't defend nobody...i mean nobody...

Saludos desde Argentina

If they want to sign Arroyo and trade us Mardy Collins, well...  that would work out nicely all-around.  Not a big Collins fan, but he can at least do an OK job running the offense and has the size to play effectively alongside Eddie.

I am from Puerto Rico and I have seen Arroyo play more than the Argentinian above ;). Right now Arroyo is playing  in the FIBA Americas Championship in SanJuan and he is probably playing the best defense I have ever seen him play over the years. Probably he learned something while playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv last year, he is a much complete player right now. In the FIBA tournament Arroyo is the most complete PG there is! Take a look at the stats for that tournament , Arroyo is without a doubt one of the best 8):

Why does anyone care about the FIBA stats... it's quite clear that the competition is quite poor. I mean, Barbosa is shooting 76% from the field. Come on.

I like Arroyo, but let's not get overboard. He's still a handful, and is often butting heads with management.

don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but Eric Pincus reported that the Clips have denied any offers to Arroyo (for what it is worth)
