i was thinking that we have such a diverse member base on here that it would be cool to have people post reviews/summaries of infomercial products they have owned.  there are many times that i see ads and am intrigued but dont pull the trigger on purchasing it bc i wonder to myself, "does that really work"?

i will start with an item i got yrs ago, the total gym.  im not a big weight weightlifter and never have.  i have always been in good shape, but i am lean.

the total gym, i felt was a pretty good piece of equipment, for the not so serious lifter.  it works based on lifting your own weight and momentum.  it is great for increasing strength and burning calories, but if you are looking to bulk up, this machine is not for you.  the ad says it is compact and can easily be stored under beds, in closets, etc.  this is a strecth. i found it to be very long.  when folded up it can be tucked under a bed, but it is a pain in the butt to fold up, then unfold when ur ready to work out.

on a scale 1-5 (5 being the highest), i give it a 3.5

Great idea DL, would love to see this thread catch on.

Can't think of anything to contribute right now though  :-\

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

i recently got the wonder hangers (see pic below):

great idea, but the execution is flawed.  after hanging the clothes, and dropping it so it is vertical is hangs WAY too low.  if you have a big closet where the rack, bar, or whatever u want to call what the clotheshanger is hung on...then the product would be excellent.  however, if you are like me and have a smaller closet or the bar isnt really high...the clothes hang way too long.  again, great idea, poor execution.  on a positive note, the when using it, the clothes are separated in a way that their is no wrinkling of your clothes.

scale 1-5, i give it a 2.

i havent but always wondered about that....especially since i shave my head.  i gave the headblade a try (never an infomercial).  the design and application was awesome on it, but u go thru razors so much because it is a single blade.  i just use either a mach 3 or a shick quarto.....both are good due to the closeness of the shave and the amount of blades.

yeh, that's my problem too

As I said below, I often have the impulse to buy something but I'm too well trained at repelling those impulses.

We need Jeff to get on here and review the Snuggie.  C'mon Jeff, tell us what you think!

LOL - be careful what you put on the internet - it will always come back to haunt you!

too funny

here's my quick review:

I'm not impressed.  I've seen tissue paper made of thicker material and the static cling it creates makes it annoying to wear.  I think I wore it 3 times before giving up on it.  Then again, it is the summer and we'll see if I use it again in the winter months.
