One of my all-time favorite Patroits, a quality player for many, many years.  There was a thread the other day about players who belong in the "Hall Of The Very Good"; Bruschi's no HOF'er, but he's a first-ballot member of the "HOTVG". 

With that said, he just wasn't the same player anymore.  As was mentioned by Felger or someone last night though, if anything happens to Jerod Mayo this year, we're hosed.  I love the youth in the secondary, they've done a great job at infusing a lot of young talent there, but I'm not as comfortable with the younger players (not named Mayo) that are now in the LB corps.

Brett Favre take notice. Teddy was and always will be one of the class acts of the game. He played his heart out for us and was an emotional pillar that held up the many egos of a dynasty. He wont be a Hall-of-Famer, but he another example of the "hall of very good" because his true value didn't show up in the box score. Good luck Teddy!

i will always remember how he stole the ball from Dominic Rhodes against Indy in the playoffs. Just ripped it from his hands and started running the other way. Unbelievable.

Great player. Sad to see him go, but it was his time. Thanks for everything Tedy!

I'll always remember this play when thinking about Bruschi.  Such a hard-fought game, conditions were just brutal, seemed like he leaped eight feet in the air and picked off that ball with his fingertips...



Tedy's one of those players - and these Patriots teams have had a lot of them - that I'll be telling my kids about for years.
