AI gets a lot of unjust hate spewed his way. What a gifted player. Able to get a good look off from anywhere on the court. Fearless in the clutch.

That team in Philly that he had was very awful...Jumaine Jones, Snow, Mckie. Just an awful basketball team.

He had to take 25 shots a game, and for being the only offensive option on that team he saw everything that every defense had to offer. Doubles, triples. He was still good for 30 points no matter what. His defense was very solid. Snow helped because of his size and ability to guard 2's.

Ultimately, it looks like the Philly situation screwed with him. He went from being the option on every play to having to defer to Carmelo. Guys like Pierce, Ray Allen, and Garnett put that attitude behind him, and Iverson didn't. Also, it doesn't help when everyone says that Detroit did the deal for his expiring contract, and then the GM is actually admitting it. Tough to play for the guy after that. We don't know how his back felt.

Doesn't matter, you need to go out and play hard.

For all the talk of his toughness and heart he wasn't tough enough to do what was best for his team.
