If Rondo doesn't show a change in attitude, who should we try to get?

 I really hope that it's not serious enough where he leaves us. I hope he can really make all the changes he needs to be a Celtic forever. He has very bright future as a player and I'm proud to say he is on my team.

I don't think Rondo will leave in free agency.  Even if he wanted to, I think the Celtics would match any contract he was given next summer.  That means he won't be able to leave as an unrestricted free agency until June 2011.

At this point, I think it's too early to know who the replacement options will be.  However, in June 2011 the team is potentially looking at a lot of cap space, if they need to add a replacement.

Too early to think about replacing him in my opinion. If he throws up a clunker this upcoming season we'd have to consider it.

  I think next summer is a dangerous time to have a RFA that's worth well over the MLE. There's a lot of teams that cleared a lot of cap space that won't get LeBron or Wade, including teams that now won't be able to offer a max deal because the cap's going down.

I think it'll be more than that. If not mistaken, an offer for a restricted free-agent has to be at least 2 years guaranteed. And considering that there's no chance that Rondo would just accept the QO, he should be here at least until the summer of 2012, if the Celtics match any offer that comes.

I wouldn't go so far as to say there's "no chance" that Rondo plays for the qualifying offer.  I don't think he'll go the BBD route and settle for substantially less than he thinks he's worth. 

I do think, though, that he and the team will be able to work out a reasonable extension.

My guess is if they offer him a 5 year/$50 million contract starting somewhere at $8 million or so with constant raises, he would take it. I think it is a very fair deal for all involved.

If our close to All Star level pint guard is gone, I guess we go for an all star point guard, I mean we are gonna try to get someone good. It's too far away to think about who will be available and still playing at a high level.

I don't really buy into the Rondo has an attitude thing. The only thing I've seen to support the idea he has an attitude is a snippet from a 2 year old article. He has some maturing to do, but what young pro-athlete doesn't.

If we have to move him we probably aren't going to get another point-guard back. Hopefully we can resign Rondo to something worth 35-45 mill for 5 years.

Rondo's attitude is not a problem, the media is making out to be a problem to have something to write.

He's a tough kid and we keep Rondo.
