I just added ACF as a buddy, then removed him. I dunno anything about it but it looks like maybe its a contacts list or something.

Start adding people and find out what it does.

It makes there names bold up top.  in the who is viewing the thread portion.  Thats all I have found.

Well, seriously, if you go into "Edit Buddies"
on your profile, you can easily send one of your
buddies a PM or check their last posts. So, it
looks to be a really cool feature.

One of the mods must know something about this!

Looks like its main function for sending PM's to people who you frequently PM.

Would be useful for sending messages to groups for leagues etc...
