All the Tony hate and hype sparked a trade poll for me as I grow tired for the night...So I searched through the each teams' salaries looking for match ups that were possible(realistic)

The Ricky Davis idea made more sense b/c he can score and defend when he wants to. Plus he spent time with KG and as a Celtic...

I like Thabo's game. Not a great scorer yet, but can defend well and is long enough to play a few positions.

Damien was a fav of mine to get picked up if they decided to buy him out for w/e reason. Shooter, defender, and ball handler.

Ronnie I like for defense and ball handling. Ugly shot, but some mid range game and slashing.
Can't stop, Rondo!

I think the only one who can be had is Wilkins.

I think you need to watch Ronnie Brewer play a little more if you think he can be had for Tony Allen.  He is one of the better young roleplayers in the league.  Utah is not giving him up.

A trade would be nice, but Tony doesn't have any value in the market - certainly not for the majority of the listed players. No need to vote in the poll.

I don't think brewer could be had for tony and giddens much less straight up.  Good solid young player

Agreed. He's a starter and is a solid #4 option on that team.  To get him, you'd have to give up 1st round picks and a good prospect, which we do not have.
do it

You think LA has that tight of a grasp on Ricky, huh?

Brewer and Thabo don't belong on the list, though.

Its funny that the majority of the posts says Wilkins and the others are out of reach, yet he has ZERO votes. Either way...

I prefer Wilkins over Tony Allen. He matches our system. His game is similar to Pierce. He can defend and hit the 3 and score on his on. Even better, he can run an offense if needed. Get him by trading Tony plus 1 of our prospects and a draft pick. Next to that, wait for him to be released and beg for him for the vet min.

You forgot to list an option:

An airline bag of peanuts.

Tony Allen is viewed as a twelth man for the Celtics. So he would be considered for other journeymen with similar contracts. Danny Ainge has no interest in those kind of players. The best we can do is hope Tony Allen can build up his own trade value through productive stints should one of the rotation guys go down and we can take advantage of his expiring deal at the trading deadline.

Tony Allen is unlikely going to amount to much in this league unless it is for a bad team.
