"Don't expect Blount to get a locker stall, much less his Wolves uniform back. Kahn will either save nearly $1.4 million by waiving Blount outright instead of Richardson or use his expiring contract in another trade."

Can it be the last year we've seen Mark Blount on the NBA??? It's traaaagic... ;D Or would another team try to make him grab 0.8 rebounds per game?? ???

Conversely, the game where Ricky Davis hit the buzzer beater, Garnett was absolutely incredible in that game. He made big shot after big shot and even a late game three if I remember correctly.

BTW, it may also be the official NBA end to his frontcourt partner those dark years, Raef LaFrentz. Ricky Davis is almost done and whatever happened to Marcus Banks upside?? Oh my, we didn't have a good team at all... feels good to be in 2009  ;D

Mark Blount's career lasted longer than his playing days.  He officially stopped playing pro basketball when he signed the big contract with us

Haha.  Not entirely true, though; he did have that one good game against the Celts after they traded him.  One good game where he played with passion wouldn't be that significant with most players, but in the world of Mark Blount, it stands out.

I think the end of Mark Blount's career was 4 years ago.  This is the end of Mark "Blunt's" career.  I mean seriously who starts pronouncing their name differently halfway through there career. And its not even a long name.  I could understand if it was
Chris fuamatu-ma'afala.

When he and Ricky partied like it was 1999?

That was painful.
Yup

Yep.  16 points, 10 boards, 4 blocks in a blowout win.

(He did at least contribute 4 turnovers, to help us remember the real Blount a bit).

I generally do pretty well at separating from my psyche the obscene fact that pro athletes are making a gazillion dollars for playing a game, but guys like Blount make it tough to swallow.
Yup

Didn't those two get kicked out of a C's practice for fighting once?

Good riddance Mark Blount...played hard for a 1/2 season to get a fat contract and then mailed it in the rest of his career.  Not that he's the only player to have ever done that, but add in his atrocious attitude and you get the complete package.

You know what's amazing?

Someone went to the effort to make a Mark Blount mix and post it to YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgM758Gtdrc

You think his mom made it?  Maybe Pat Riley, desperately trying to convince someone that he can play?

"I'm Mark Blount, I swear to God I'm funky!"
