I discovered this song probably 4 months ago although it's been out 10 plus years. This song is so good skipping over it almost feels like a sin. This right here is food for the spirit. Amazing song, amazing re-imagining of Nina Simone's four women this is probably my favorite Talib Kweli song.

To this day, still my favorite "Return To Forever" tune ... the amazing DiMeola guitar solo at 5:20 is what made me run out and by my first Ovation/Adamas, (and learn how to play "Mutola" technique) ... and I love the cut-time Chick Corea solo at 7:20 ... a very sweet tempo/rhythm change.

Hard to believe that Al DiMeola was only 21 when he was hired by Chick for the "Return To Forever" gig ... pretty amazing endorsement at that age.

I've seen him in concert a few times, and met him at a Berklee workshop ... he has a very kinetic energy about him, (much like KG's), and he loves nothing more than sharing his knowledge/talents with hungry students.

I went to many workshops with different musicians through the "Visting Artist Series", but never met anyone that was as eager to share as Al.

Most "big name" artists would do the workshop and leave when "paid" time was up, but Al stayed late for over four hours, with a handful of us who couldn't get enough.

Great guy ... and not a bad guitarist, either.

I found this dood Black EL and his album "Color Commentary" way back when I was looking through free albums online and when I saw he was rocking a CELTICS cap on the cover, i was like "I got to download this!". It's pretty dope, I've been listening to it for the last 5 months or so. It's for fans of good Hip Hop! He reminds me of a mix of Lupe, Mos Def, Talib and a little bit of Kanye. Kind of hard to describe, but I DO like it and he's from Boston if I'm not mistaken.
