its funny, I was thinking switch to water (or fruit juice) but then I saw a savior, hard cider, yummm... I totally forgot it existed, but when done right (see Fly Creek, somewhere in New York) it is delicious and about as potent as beer... the problem with hard alcohol (or fu fu drinks) is that you have one or two and that's the ballgame, you can have a beer and just enjoy it, that's why I like it

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Scotch on the rocks.
P.s. Has anyone used these before to drink?

They're Scotch rocks. Essentially keep your spirit cold while not watering it down.

Please, tell me more.

Gin and tonics, and gin martinis (with a nice cigar).

I can get into a nice bottle of wine, too.  Mostly reds.

They'll take my beer from me over my cold, dead hands, though.  They'll never find the fermenters in the basement.

Was it WC Fields who was famed for using frozen marbles in his scotch?

I couldn't find where to vote for whip-its.

I've quit alcohol recently and for the meantime have resorted to chain-drinking Diet Cokes. If I were boozing Non-beer though , I'd prbably just drink whiskey either straight or with coke.

Wait....Daiquiris are girly drinks? I love those! And, I get them virgin at restaurants all the time too, cause I don't like alcohol. I'm not old enough to drink alcohol legally anyways!

Where's the option that you don't drink beer? Most of the beers I've tried are pretty crappy.

This is not a hypothetical for me.  Beer, which I love dearly, is off limits to me for medical reasons.

My first choice is now wine.  Its good alone, with pizza, with munchies, or whatever.  I'll also drink something harder now and again.

Still, there is no acceptable substitute to quench that thirst on a hot day after working outside.  The closest I've found for that is Crystal Light and vodka over crushed ice.
