I must say Carmelo is looking very good so far  ;D
So is Bynum!
You think so? I've seen two Laker games so far and he was fairly awful on defense in both games. He made Kaman and Dampier look like All-Stars. If you are talking about fantasy numbers he puts up, then yeah his numbers have been okay but can you real say that overall he is outplaying the people he goes against or been a major factor in LA's outcomes?

Kaman was a 15/10 guy 2 years ago.

So's Bargnani, but I don't think that'll change anyone's mind.

If I can find one night to really devote to it the rest of the week I should be able to get it done. I'm I think 17 teams done right now.

We should do midseason awards, here are notables about my team:
Gallanari averaging 20+ so far. Steve Nash leading the league in assists. Boozer averaging 16/12, Deng averaging 16/8, Okur 16/6. Tyreke Evans averaging 12.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

See this is what's so hard about this draft. If you treat it as fantasy basketball with just numbers, then people can go off about certain teams. If you look at it as team building for reality and take into consideration defense, efficiency, role playing, and chemistry then it's a completely different game.

When we were voting, I think people who were voting looked at it in both ways and also in a combined way as well.

For instance my team the Boxers. As strictly a fantasy basketball team, it is not a good one. I doubt that fantasy numbers or even the NBA 2K10 sim will show that the Boxers are all that good of a team. But, I think as a unit, with defense being the strength of the team and with a lot of players that play into the team concept and work better in that concept, the Boxers, if put together, would be a formidable team with excellent defense, great rebounding, good scoring and a good balance of vets and youth. I think in a lot of ways they are very comparable to last years Rockets team without Yao and TMac that took the Lakers to 7 games in the WC SFs. Maybe better than that team.

Even if he isn't playing that well one could make the argument that averaging 12 points in your first three games as a rookie shows his potential. Haven't watched any Kings games, so all I can go by is the numbers, but I trust Fafnir on his assessment.
He's probably my 3rd wing player off the bench so I can live with potential for now.

The CrotoNats are predictably starting off slowly.  We'll remind everyone that it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Is there a 35 and older division?

Hey, now they have Superman and Batman on their team. It's too bad Manu's prolly better at shooting Bats than he is 3s and Redd no longer has knees.

Thankfully, Delonte and Rashard are hooking everyone up with anti-depressants and steroids.  It should be a fun ride.

I think when we look at last year's draft from the rear view mirror, people are going to start seriously questioning what the hell they were thinking when they voted Portland. I think the Portland Propaganda machine won last years draft not the team itself.

Of course, I mean that in all good fun. I hope no one is taking this too seriously. Heck, I look back and right now wonder what the hell I was doing including Ryan Anderson as a throw in in my Kevin Martin trade(supremely stupid) and why in god's name did I trade Felton and Outlaw for Sessions and Wright(Sessions can't even beat out a freaking rookie to start for Minny).

Then again, rookies hit walls and Sessions may yet shine(I think he will). I still think I am right about Julian Wright and by the end of the year he could win the Most Improved Player award. I still love my starters. And I think Gadzuric and Juwan Howard will show to be better back up bigs than people were giving the Boxers credit for. Also, I expect good things out of second year guys Morrow and Hill.

We will see.

We'll see.  Portland was by far the deepest team in the league, and the goal wasn't to dominate the regular season, it was to win in the playoffs.  If Redd is out for the year, that's a huge setback.  If he's out for two more weeks, no big deal.
