Just curious what everyone would think about this...
Last season, the Celts were 22-7 without KG. Big Baby flourished in the starting lineup, making this the most servicable place for him to play. Does anyone think that the Celts could possibly be more dangerous with a starting 5 of Rondo, Allen, Baby, Perk and Pierce? Then our next 5 off the bench would be House, Daniels, KG, Wallace and anyone left.
Think about what that second unit could do to other teams. Think about the intensity that would bring off the bench - the scoring options, the improved defense and the ability to either blow games open or to mount large comebacks. Also, imagine that without KG in the starting lineup, we were minutes away from the ECF.
Also, remember before you respond, that the Celts were the first team to develop a 6th man spot and that whomever starts does not necessarily finish.
I would love to hear your thoughts...
