I never figured out why Sasha was buried on the Cavs bench behind ****' Wally. He's a better player. He just got in Mike Brown's doghouse for some reason. If you get him and Daniels off the bench, that's easily the best bench in the L.

I think Danny liked him before he was drafted too. Great size and defense.

Get it done if possible..

Bowen doesn't want to come to Boston(yet). He probably wants to skip all the practices and season games and hopes to get signed before the playoffs as if he could come in and make a difference that fast...yea right. Figure out a way to get Pavolovic. I know he and Cleveland had contract issues last year, but He's good and worth it to a point. I know we have no money left, so a sign and trade would guarantee that he keeps all of his contract. Otherwise he could hope for a complete buyout and then signing the vet min would just be a bonus. He, along with Marquis, could get their paydays NEXT summer if they prove themselves with us once we win another championship.

He isn't good. Pavlovic was buried on Cleveland's bench almost the whole season. He also plays scared once the games start to get close. But he has a bad attitude and talks a lot of trash so he should fit in on Boston's bench.

Disagree.  When he was buried on the bench, he had come back from injury and didn't play well.  I think if he's healthy, he's good.  I think he's better than Anthony Parker.

I think we're limited in the cash department. Marquis, Tony and the rooks will be the backup wings, unless Danny sheds a contract. So while Sasha would help, they're not paying for another wing imo. Luxury tax

If he came at a mega bargain, I'd do it.

I think it depends on whether or not we can rid ourselves of Tony in the Daniels deal. Clearly that is the hope as this Daniels thing seems it will drag on until February. But if we were going to sign an ancient Bruce Bowen (if you buy the reports), why not a Sasha P for the vet min? He has the size and ability to body up the LeBrons and Melos of the world..

I'd rather have Ime Udoka or Keith Bogans ... but I'd be happy enough with Pavlovic as the squad's second wing off the bench.

Why? Pavlovic is bigger and better shooter than both. Just curious as to your reasoning..

I think Udoka is a better defender and Bogans a comparable defender. Both are far superior rebounders.

I don't consider Pavlovic a better shooter. I don't have a lot of trust in his shot, he's very streaky, it comes and goes. Also, the '07-08 season bothers my trust in his shot too. Same problem with Udoka. Udoka had a poor shooting year last season, but he shot 37% and 40% from three point range in the two years prior, and I think he can get back to that form (career rate of 37% slightly better than Sasha's 36%). Udoka also has a better TS% because a larger percentage of his shots come from behind the arc (40+% vs 30% for Sasha). I think Bogans has the most consistent/reliable/least likely to go missing perimeter shot of the trio, but he's not as potent as the other two when they're hitting their shots.

Overall, I think they're all fairly comparable shooting wise. Some differences in consistency and accuracy, but somewhat similar overall.

So, I'd pick Udoka and Bogans mainly because of their superior rebounding ability ... and Udoka as my favourite because I think he's the best defender of the bunch.
