If there were only 1 roster spot open on the Celtics left, and you had to fill it
who would you add?? and WHY???........This is assuming Marquis Daniels is already apart of the Celtics.And the team is how it is right now. And following players are ready to sacrifice to be apart of championship team, and all are willing to play for the same amount of money.

Would You Add:
Stephon Marbury? (as shown in his videos, he's in desperate need of ubuntu )
Allen Iverson? (assuming he'll adjust his game and be willing to come off bench)
Bruce Bowen? (Age is a factor, but still can play D,and hit the three ball)
Joe Smith? (Age is a factor, but solid big, plays D, and can hit 15 footer)
Jerry Stackhouse?(Veteran wing/scorer,didn't play much last yr. should be healthy)
Jason Williams? (veteran guard,took year off.so should be healthy.chip'experience)
Kareem Rush? (29 yrs. old 6'6" solid wing, who can knock down the long ball)
Ben Wallace? (Veteran big, effective defender,played alonside rasheed in Det.)
Stromile Swift? (Veteran big, long-athletic, energy,solid defender,blocks shots)
Jamal Tinsley? (veteran point guard,wants to play,likes to post up,steady player)
Ike Diogu? (A bit undersized big, decent defender, decent low post game)
Von Wafer? (Young wing, score first mentality, likes to shoot, needs ubuntu)
Antoine Walker? (can shimmy,throw up 3balls,no D,needs a job,bring him back 4 fun)

jason williams..has championship experience...knows how to find open guys...can score if needed...and we need another PG

Yeah PG would be the weakest position... if Rondo went down. I might have to stick with Marbury.

The Bigs could be stacked: KG, Perk, Sheed, Baby, Scal, Williams

wings would be loaded...but it is a shame that most of them are 2 guard sized $:-\$ : Ray, Paul, Daniels, TA, Walker, Giddens, (House)

Yeah, I could see Bowen, a legit 6-7+ wing signed. Pick your poison:

If Rondo goes down, are you cool with House, Daniels, Tony Allen?
If Pierce goes down are you cool with Daniels, Walker, Scal?

If he's not going to cost too much and is willing to fit into the system, Iverson has got to be the man, he can bring the ball up court, and what he lacks in passing he more than makes up for with his scoring.

Allen Iverson? (assuming he'll adjust his game and be willing to come off bench)... But that won't happen so I'd say Bowen and have Lester as the backup PG.

I love watching Iverson play... but after he DESTROYED the Detroit chemistry, i just dont think he is an option at any price. I wish i could honestly say otherwise.

While I'm hardly advocating for Iverson to come here, I think it's a little unfair to say that Iverson destroyed Detroit's chemistry. I'd say age, the departure of Ben Wallace, and the fact that Billups left for Iverson to come had a ton to do with it too. Plus, what was Dumars thinking? I get that he felt that Detroit wasn't good enough to win it all, but why trade your best player (who is a point guard) for a shooting guard, particularly when your team already has two really good ones in Stuckey and Hamilton?

So while I don't exactly want AI, I don't think he's necessarily going to destroy teams. If you ask him to be a scorer, he will still do pretty well in the role.

Still, I can't imagine that happening here. In order to give him the minutes he'd need to be happy, we'd have to give him all the backup minutes at the 1 and 2, and maybe even the 3 (by sliding Ray there like we did last year). That doesn't work defensively at all.

If he didn't cost too much and realized he wouldn't get 30 minutes a game and felt he could still be effective definitely Iverson.

You laugh now, but what if Rondo, Allen, or PP goes down with a KG like injury? Where do you get another 13 time all star driven to win a championship?

I'm sure he'd be quite driven.

Indeed, I just hope at some point Danny at least made the call to Iverson's people, I'm sure he costs too much but at least show you're interested.
