Questions for Philly: What makes you the favorite over Boston and New York?  And why isn't Will Solomon starting?  :)

First there were riots in Philly as to why Solomon wasn't starting, but Solomon came out and said he'd like to be more of a mentor to Baron Davis and Pargo and that his skill level is too high he should only be playing 5 minutes a game or so.  ;D

I don't think New York has the offense or defense to keep up with us.

As for Boston as said before we have two guys known for defense in Brewer and Parker to be on Wade all game.  We will make him work, and if he drives we have Okafor and Bynum waiting.  We will let Baron post up Rafer.  I'd also take Okafor, Bynum, Smith over Bostons top 3 bigs any day of the week.

When we play against running teams, Z will be in there.  It takes two teams to run, we have a half court offense that loves to slow the game down, we plan on dicitating tempo.  and as a team that wont shoot very many threes which lead to long rebounds and long closeouts which lead to outlet passes to start the running game we dont think it will be a problem.

And Garcia has been a very solid young player the last two years Including when a Crippled Kevin Martin was on the bench for most of the year.  We felt that we needed more of an offensive threat out of the two guard position.  And also we were able to pick up Hakim Warrick through a trade to replace AV.  One of the advantages of not having your right to make moves revoked I guess.

No Im opening up the paint for Miller and Artest to drive to the basket.  More importantly Allowing KG to take Okafor off the dribble which we know he does very well and Have no weak Side help because Bynum is out covering Z

We'll just play a zone and let you sit on the outside with your team not known for its offense.
Just keep racking up those illegal defense calls thats fine ;)

With the great draft picks that Toronto had prior to the draft and what they ended up with too bad for Toronto they didn't have their right to make moves revoked ;)

(Was going to give him fluff questions until the silly needless comment on how Detroit was way better than Chicago. No offense to Detroit)

To all the GMs in the East.

You are all talking about how important your matchups are versus the other teams in your division. Are you aware you only play each other 4 or maybe, tops, 5 times a year? Your match ups only count in a seven game series and all five of you are not even going to come close to making the playoffs.

So perhaps you all can talk about why you believe your team will win consistently every night versus all types of competition and not just against the guy who plays in a different building off I95.

yea, as someone who is going to need to read through this thread at length later tonight and tomorrow, the above will be much more compelling to my vote than a run down about how you do against a specific team.

Well it looks like your tough questions were pretty easy.  And the question was asked who i saw as my toughest challenge in the east outside the division, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago.  I answered it, you can accept my answer or retaliate in a childish manor.  You chose the latter.

Good idea Nick and Crownsey. Cosign.

Another question for Philly: "When you play Orlando all eyes will be on the Melo/Lebron matchup, but who do you believe has the better supporting cast and why?"

You two definitely win the Belichick-Mangini Award for the all-consuming media friendly coaches feud.

I love it!

What about the SG position makes it more important than SF?  I just don't understand your theory.  How was Rip Hamilton the difference maker on Detroit's championship squad?

Also, does your theory mean that Lebron is incapable of winning a championship in real life, at least as Cleveland is constituted?  Because, as much as I love our 7th man Delonte West, he's not a dominant SG, either.

I thought you left 20 minutes ago? Your answer to the competitor question was said in a pretty childish manor imo. ;)

Ok well personally I believe my team can compete and win against any team in the league and that is because of the defense I have put together.  I stocked my team with three defensive players of the year that are all good on ball and help defenders.  I also have a strong bench with 4 guys on the bench who averaged close to or above 10 points a game last year, as well as a starting 5 where everybody averaged above 10 points a game.  My team is incredibly ballanced offenseivly with a proven go to scorer in Kevin Garnett who lead the Celtics in both 4th quarter and playoff scoring.

Chicago and Toronto:  enough with the bickering.  It's fine when it's in jest, but it's clear that it's become personal, to the point where one of you is going out of their way to mock spelling mistakes.

It's petty, it's childish, it's specifically against Celticsblog rules, and it's going to stop.  Now.
