TP, Jon.  We're on the same page.

And thinking of those 5-10mpg that House will be backing up PG, it'll likely be with the starters in short clock situations when Pierce brings the ball up and initiates the offense.

In fact, I reckon this could be our most dangerous lineup:

House
Ray
Pierce
KG
Wallace

All shooters, pick your poison.

Once again thanks for the replies:   Let me be clear...I'm a Celtics fan, and i know we have been successful with Eddie House as backup pg. With my trade proposal of Tony Allen for Acie Law. I'm looking at Acie Law the big point guard, who can play the 1 and a lil 2. You could put Eddie and Law in together and CAN have eddie run the 1and Law at the 2. If you keep tony allen, Eddie HAS to play the 1. which is not what he is naturally. His skills are best utilize when he is not the  primary ball-handler. Bringing in Acie Law as the backup PG, I envision him playing the Sam Cassell role. Coming in and contributing and relieveing eddie of ball handling duties, but not being a guy trying to compete for the Sixth Man of the Year award. Tony Allen is Garbage.....Acie Law is garbage with potential, and can contribute if put in the right situation.....Clealy Tony Allen is on a Championship team, and Doc Rivers still wasn't able to figure out a way to put him in the right situation. Tony Allen is not going to get any better folks...and clealy does not fit the mold Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers are trying piece together.

I'm not gonna lie I'm gonna come out of the closet I Love TA.
He has played like pooh for the last few years but there was a time before the knee issue "the after the whistle dunk" and after that I was saying he was going to be the sixth man of th year soon and he was one of the best one on one defenders.
Some place in the back of my mind I still slightly believe it, I think he needs to get his confidence back and focus on ball handling especially dribbling in transition:). But he has potential and the injury seems like he took a step back of two years.
Keep him at SG though maybe situational minutes at pg.

Nice. Everyone forgets that Cassell was not the answer and that we played better with Eddie down the stretch/

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
That'd be a good trade for both teams.

Tony would probably do well under Nelly.

Playing in a limited role with scorers all around can't hurt law.
