I predict an embarrasing night for Shaquille O'Neal and a game that makes Cavs fans real, real nervous about there ability to match up with the Celtics. Hahahaha I'm laughing with maniacal glee right now.
Shaq did just fine against us with the Suns. I think the Cavs still match up with the C's well.

That was last year. He's gonna have to deal with Rasheed now. Also, Perk is a year for the better while Shaq is a year for the worse. What happened last year between two very different teams has no bearing now--apples and oranges.

Big Z used to guard Rasheed Wallace and Cleveland never had any problems.

Interesting opening night for the C's... It won't mean much for the playoffs but the matchup against the Cavs will be entertaining for sure. It could very well be the first season in which this C's squas begins with a losing record since they usually suck when playing at the Q... but hopefully this summer's additions and an healthy starting five will beat the Cavs and embarrass them on their homecourt.

I just hope we don't screw it up and get off to a bad start.
All you people predicting a win, don't you know anything about jinxing games?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Well nice opportunity for the Cs. Beating the Cavs on opening night will be a very big win. They could shut down the Q as well.

But if they will lose... Well there's still 81 more games  :)
Get that 18th banner ready!

Shaq will never guard Rasheed.  You can pretty much get that thought out of your head

So they'll pull Shaq if/when KG/Sheed play together?

No...but he will guard KG, just because KG doesn't spread the floor as much.  I know KG will be setting a lot of screens and Shaq will sag off a  screen and roll big time meaning the Cavs guards will have to get above the screen at all costs

They can pick and roll Shaq to death with Pierce and KG.

Doesn't spread the floor as much, what?

KG takes 20 footers all the time, that spaces the floor as well as a 23 footer. I think AV will stay with KG, he guards him best of any Cav by far.

we'll see.  Lebron tends to be a pretty good defender on the pick and roll.

He's not as good over the top though, his big frame makes it hard to get through screens. He's got amazing recovery speed though.

And can defend one.  KG or Pierce.

Lol me too.  Since they are relying on Shaq more, we actually matchup better.  muahahahahaha
