Is it me or is everyone checking Celticsblog or some website expecting to see/hear about Lamar Odom's LEAVING LA for Miami?
I find myself checking this site every 5-10 minutes? Am I obsessed with him bolting or what?

That and the two potential sign and trades for BBD/Daniels have me on edge. I can't wait till they get settled.

i dunno, i hate LA, so anything that hurts them is fine with me. Losing ariza and odom would be a big blow for them, ron ron or no.

I agree.  While I like the Artest signing and think he is an upgrade over Ariza, an Arest for Ariza and Odom trade off would be a net loss.

I think we are all saying that:

Odom + Ariza > Artest

yes they are

thats why my fingers are still crossed
not having odom will make them slower
less versatile
and force them to play luke walton a lot
even if thats good for fantasy waltons production
is very bad for lakers championship dreams.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
I definitely want to see him go elsewhere, but I think he is going back to LA, and he always has been, this makes me interested but not obsessed.

With or without Odom, in my mind the Ron Artest pickup makes LA the team to beat this coming year.  Plug Odom into that lineup, and that team will be an absolute force.

My spider senses tell me that Odom will end up in Miami actually, he won his ring already and wont have to put up with Kobe (who I think he can't stand).  Even if he does go elsewhere, though, I'm not as sure as others on this board that Odom & Ariza (role players at best) > Artest, who I think is one of the biggest impact players in the game.  Artest adds a defensive presence that they have been missing, and brings the toughness that I enjoyed watching LA suffer without for the last two years.  He also a brilliant anti-hero to add to a foe, makes them a beautiful antagonist.  A very scary team, and with Bynum healthy, Kobe rested and their identity issues worked out I can say that I for one am looking forward to an epic battle between these two teams next year.  No one else is even in the conversation, no disrespect to SA, CL or Orlando...

They need Odom back unless Bynum comes out and plays a full season at a high level. Ariza for Artest is a wash, Artest takes too many bad shots to be an elite player.

The Lakers are gonna blow big-time without Odom.  Him and Ariza were my two favorite players there.  I never liked Bynum much, and Fisher sucks these days.  Luke Walton and Vujacic are all right.  I like Artest, but the only other true threats there are Kobe and Gasol.  Without Odom I think the Spurs are gonna eat them this year.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't mind watching LA get knocked down a peg.  I would have wanted Danny to overpay for Odom unlike Posey even with the risk of him going into full candy mode.

I'm interested in BBD if you haven't noticed.  I want it over already.

Odom going to South Beach would be nice. I think it's very possible at this point. I personally think it would be a HUGE loss for them as his guy is much more valuable to the Lakers then Bynum at this point. They would be forced to sign someone like Sheldon Williams as a replacement. We as Celtics fans should be rooting for this..
