  • There can only be one.
My friend just told me that Marbury responded to his question (if he was coming back to the Celts) by saying no. I'm not watching the feed right now, but if someone was and can confirm it for me, that'd be cool. I hope it isn't true.  :-\

EDIT: The exact quote was, "No, do you want me to retire?" Not so sure what that means, me it kinda hints at sarcasm.

EDIT: Just told the feed that he won't be in the NBA next year. Sarcasm once again?

You can't take anything he says seriously.

He never directly answered questions where he would play next season. He just said "We'll see".

Marbury was obviously joking.

Not sure how you could take that seriously.

After watching some of his stream over the weekend(and some today as well) I'm pretty sure Marbury will not be returning. Atually, I'm pretty sure there's no way he's ever playing professional basketball again. I don't see how any GM, in this country or overseas could sign him after seeing the highlights. This has been one of the more spectacular crash and burns ever.

I think we can all agree from seeing Marbury bouncing off the walls and speaking gibberish that he is no longer a credible source for anything right now.  I don't think he has any clue what he is doing or what he wants to do, and everything could change by the minute.

Although I have a feeling Danny is not feeling too excited about signing Marbury at this point.

He's just a drama queen wanting attention and having some fun.  The guy's not crazy.  I mean he's crazy in a funny way, but not "ready for the looney bin" crazy.

I know someone just like him.  Crazy dude, but he's not crazy, if you know what I mean.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I don't think it really matters what he says...as long as he still has something to give to an NBA team (which he does), he will certainly sign somewhere (as long as he doesn't mind a minimum deal). I don't see any reason not to sign him, as long as he still 'loves' Boston...
