Team Hoyo de Monterrey is thrilled to select Darth Vader, professional badass, as my villain and invites anyone to try and drive on him. See what happens. Better yet, ask Dark Lord. He also promises to be the first player-coach in the league, due to his unique and effective motivational tools.

You've got to be happy with Vader dropping that low in the 1st round  ;)

That lost hand at the end of the original flick clearly hurt

I think that and all the whining in the prequel trilogy really hurt him in the combine.  He's still a guy with great length (thanks to the saber), a heck of a motor (literally) and tremendous darkside, though.  Nice pick.

I had a long serious talk with him before we drafted him. He interviewed really well, and assured us the prequels were behind him. Our medical staff will be working overtime, but the upside is just too much to pass up. TP fwf haha

Dang.

Jesus, DaVinci, Alexander the Great all gone. I´ve had to change my draft tactic several times before I even made my first pick.

Anyway, with the 19th pick in the Ultimate Draft, Casperian selects:

Lucifer "The Devil" Satan, Villain.

Who else than the great, eternal antagonist could help a team stuck with the 19th pick?
This is versatility and desire at it´s purest, the ultimate team player (if you believe the scouts). This guy has more flash than Gordon. An absolutely jaw-dropping freak of nature, seems to see plays before the develop, incredible crossover, an underrated 3-point shooter and passer, willing to sacrifice anything for the win.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Good one.  "Villain" sort of undersells Lucifer a bit.

On a side note, is there a difference between Lucifer and Satan? (seriously, what is the difference, just the name?)

and yes, to answer ?, well within the rules!
Yup

Lucifer perhaps is the fallen angel incarnation of Satan specifically, while Satan itself is kinda the overarching force of evil that is the umbrella of all the other terms like Devil, Iblis, Beelzebub, Lucifer, etc. ?

Just a thought, nice selection though Lucifer at one point had mad hops, but he fell back to earth a bit. Hopefully he can regain form, because he'd be a monster power forward.

Not to suck the fun out of explaining this stuff, but here is what wikipedia has to say:

Satan
Quote
The word 'Satan', and the Arabic شيطان "shaitan", may derive from a Northwest Semitic root śṭn, meaning "to be hostile", "to accuse." An alternative explanation is provided by the Hebrew in Job 1:7. When God asks him whence he has come, Satan answers: "From wandering (mi'ŝuṭ) the earth and walking on it" (מִשּׁוּט בָּאָרֶץ, וּמֵהִתְהַלֵּךְ בָּה). The root ŝuṭ signifies wandering on foot or sailing. 'Satan' would thus be "the Wanderer".

'Satan' is שָׂטָן Satan in Standard Hebrew, Śāṭān in Tiberian Hebrew, סטנא Sāṭānā' in Aramaic, Σατανάς Satanás in Koine Greek, Satanas in Latin, شيطان Šeytân in Persian, شيطان Šayṭān in Arabic, Sāyṭān in Ge'ez, Şeytan in Turkish, and شيطان Shāitān in Urdu.

Lucifer
Quote
Lucifer is a name frequently given to the Devil in Christian belief. This usage as a reference to a fallen angel stems from a particular interpretation of Isaiah 14:3-20, a passage that speaks of someone who is given the name of "Day Star" or "Morning Star" (in Latin, Lucifer) as fallen from heaven. In 2 Peter 1:19 and elsewhere, the same Latin word lucifer is used of the morning star with no relation to the devil. However, in writings later than those in the Bible, the Latin word Lucifer has often been used instead as a proper name for the devil.

His offense is still strong, it´s his defense where he has lost a step.
However, the medical staff is confident that they can bring him back to his old form.
