Besides the following:

1) 17 World Championships
2) The multitude of Hall of Famers
3) The banners in the Garden
4) The parquet floor

What are the greatest traditions that we as Celtics fans have?  I just wanted to see a list as compiled by the most knowledgeable people on the subject that I know.

I'm going to enjoy the responses.

That's why I hate the alternate unis except the ones for St. Patrick's Day which only add the gold and the style remains intact.  The unis with the black are just bad.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
It goes along with the banners, but the retired numbers, etc.

Also, the tradition of trying to keep things "all in the family" with former Celtics being made coaches, GMs, broadcasters, etc.

Also:  Tommy Points, and Tommy and Mike.  And Johnny Most before them.

Yea I love how they uniform has stayed pretty constant and simple, with the green and white.

a commitment to the team and teamwork.  The name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back.

I'd also add a run and gun uptempo game, but our halfcourt team of this era isn't really following that tradition.
