David Lee ($9 Mill), Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries

For

Tracy Mcgrady and Brent Barry.

New York
- The Knicks give up Lee but rid themselves of Curry and Jeffries contracts.

Houston - Set themselves up for 2011 (financially) and get a replacement Center.

You need to consider the contracts though

I hate that about the NBA, I like leagues that consider matching players rather than salaries.

Oh well, I love the product.

Actually, I think it adds an interesting dynamic to the fold.

The Knicks aren't going to sign Lee anyway to they might as well get rid of Curry and Jefferies. Plus, it would be fun watching McGrady in NY for a year.

New York by a landslide. If they can clear that much cap space they can talk a pair of the top free agents to join their side, and build a team that will contend for a title in short fashion.

It's a decent trade for Houston if they have no plans to try and get far enough below the cap in 2010 to offer a max contract. It would be better for them though, if they could lose Jeffries' deal for a 2010 expiring one.

I think it's perfect for Houston too. They would have Ming, Jefferies, Curry and Battier all set to expire for the summer of 2011 while maintaining Lee, Ariza and Brooks.

2011 - Melo and Durant.

Ming has a player option for 2010.

ever get one of those feelings somethings not right, but can't put your finger on it? Just figured it out; I don't think I've ever seen someone call Yao, Ming... that would be like if you said, while maintaining Lee, Yao, Trevor and Aaron

I guess it shows Yao hasn't transcended and become a Mike or a Lebron or a Kobe...
