I never realized that we got Tony Allen thanks to the Rasheed trade to Detroit.  Also, I forgot Ray Allen was traded for Marbury on draft night.I have the site that is great for finding any basketball transaction ever. It is accurate and up to date. Check out

Yeah, I consult that site from time to time. The people who put it together deserve a medal.

I'm not so sure this is correct:

2004-08-06
Celtics received:  Gary Payton, Rick Fox, conditional first round pick (top 10 protected in 06, top 5 protected in 07, top 3 protected in 08) (2006 #21-Rajon Rondo), $2M cash

Lakers received:  Chris Mihm, Chucky Atkins, Jumaine Jones (changed from Marcus Banks on 8/13/04), (2005 second round pick was removed 8/13/04)

Didn't we get the #21 (Rondo pick) from the Suns for cash on the day of the draft?

good point. Maybe the pick that Phoenix had came from the Lakers at some point.

And then later it shows:

2006-06-28
Celtics receive:  Brian Grant, rights to Rajon Rondo, cash considerations

Suns receive: first round pick (top 10 protected in 2007 through 2010) (2007 #24-Rudy Fernandez)

Oh wait...

I found this in between:

2005-02-24
Celtics receive:  Antoine Walker
Hawks receive: Gary Payton, Tom Gugliotta, Michael Stewart, 2005-07 first round pick (lesser of Celtics own pick and Lakers pick which Celtics own, lottery protected through 06) (2006 #21-Rajon Rondo)

Wow... the rights to Rondo sure bounced around.  So it went from the Lakers to the Celtics to the Hawks... then somehow ended up on the Suns and then back to the Celtics?

Pick was originally the Lakers, then sent to ATL in the trade to reacquire Toine, then sent from ATL to the Suns in the Joe Johnson-Boris Diaw trade.

PHO drafted Rondo for Boston on draft night, and sent his rights to Boston along with Brian Grant for a 2007 1st.

Suns Receive: Boris Diaw, 2006 first round pick (less favorable of Celtics or Lakers) (2006 #21-Rajon Rondo), first round pick (lottery protected in 2006, top 3 protected in 2007) (2008 #15-Robin Lopez)

Ok... this site rules.

So the destined rights to Rondo bounced from the Lakers to the Celtics to the Hawks to the Suns and then back to the Celtics.
