This is great news as far as I'm concerned. Marbury just didn't perform. He didn't contribute. I'll never understand why there were some people who wanted him back. If I owned the C's, Marbury couldn't pay me to play here. The guy just doesn't have it anymore. It happens to even the best players. It's nothing to be ashamed about.
I mean, how many times did Steph get the ball stolen from him in the open court? Five or six times? Maybe even more? That's completely unacceptable, especially since he had enough time to get his feet under him.
I too thought Marbury would shake the rust off. But, as the season wore on, I realized he wasn't rusty at all; his game was what it was. And we should all feel a little silly if any of us thought Marbury was going to be a factor. After all, when was the last time this guy played a productive season? Three years ago? That's not a "rusty game", that's a game that has rotted through.
