What's the word our wing backup for next season?

1)get a legit experienced backup - but I am not sure there is money for one....

or

2)force Doc's hand to get BWalker ready for the playoffs.

In my opinion Giddens is a better defender, rebounder, passer, and distributor. He also protects the ball a bit better, and doesn't seem to foul as much as Walker. Those things alone should put him over Walker in my opinion.

Its funny, but if neither Giddens nor Walker played for us, isnt there a possibility that us bloggers would be striving in here trying to get Ainge to try to get both or one of the two to play for us? Remember the saying: The pasture always looks greener on the other side of the fence. right?!

Unlikely. Are we pining for other teams' second round picks who have done nothing in the NBA? If anything, we would be laughing at trade proposals of other teams where they want to send them to us.

Watched about 5 games of DLeague and all of Summer League, plus pre-season of last year. And what little insignificant minutes they got during the season.

Nothing to rave about, but from those games that's been my impressions.

Giddens also plays with a ton of energy (which may be a good thing and a bad thing at times). Walker plays under a bit of more control, and his offensive arsenal is better, he's a better scorer, and certainly a better free-throw shooter. But I think that given the type of offense we run with the Celtics, Giddens' skills are more useful especially when surrounded by veterans.

big surprise...i just dont think LA will be in the finals next season fro the west...

i don't have any opinion of giddens and walker at this point.  I'll just assume they both suck until I see otherwise. 

If Tony was more deserving of minutes than those scrubs... then I really hope we find a trade partner immediately.

He was getting the job done until he was injured.

And his bad performance in the playoffs has been exaggerated by quite a bit. For example, by the comments around here you would think that Tony turned the ball over a bunch of times during the playoffs, when in 60 minutes of playing time he only turned the ball over once. And finished "shooting" 50% from the floor.

I'd say the main problem with him was Pierce and Rondo doing some poor decision with the ball, and giving him the ball with the clock winding down. Those are the plays most remember because he took some bad shots. On those plays, Rondo and Pierce should've kept the ball. Also, the team should've kept Tony on the weakside for this situation, he had no reason for being on the strongside. So it was poor usage of his skills, and people on the floor making poor decisions all around.
