Big acquisition for them, now they really have a great bench... Pietrus, Barnes, Gortat, Johnson.

Where's the 'great'ness of that bench?
I like Pietrus and Gortat.  Role players that fill big holes.

I like Pietrus and Gortat as well and would love to have them on the Celtics however, it isn't a great bench like the other poster said. Good bench but not great.

no big deal we have tony and walker :-\

Yeah, and I keep hearing Pruitt is ready to fill Big Baby's void.

Players are drying up and I hope Danny acts fast.

Uh oh. Look at what Ainge said yesterday:

I can't say I'm surprised.

If this is true, there officially aren't any SF's left to be had that are better than our current combo of Scal and TA.

I bet we sign Baby and go into next season as is, Ainge is going to have difficulty pulling a trade off this far away from the deadline when our package is so weak.

I guess this is the part where we all starting praying that JR Giddens or Billy Walker all the sudden makes the year 2 leap?

Add Reddick and Anderson to this bench and it's really great, I would be glad if Boston had the same bench. Basically, if they sign Barnes, they will have a good and consistent backup guy to fill every position and do the job of the starter when he needs to rest or is in foul trouble. Can you say the same thing about our bench? Currently, you can't and I just hope that Danny signs a good wing quickly (Moon is welcome).

I'm not sure Reddick is all that good of a backup at the 2. But Vince/Pietrus/Barnes would work for wings. Especially if they use Gortat/Howard more often and slide Rashard to the 3.

So they start Nelson-Pietrus-Carter-Lewis-Howard. We are better at every position except center, and we have a good match up there.

Johnson - TBD
Reddick - House
Barnes - Moon?
Anderson - Scalabrine
Gortat - Wallace

Again, I like our guys at every position (Even the TBD) - I just do not understand the Orlando hype.

i didn't know that pruitt was about to gain a couple hundred pounds. now that shows real dedication to the team.

Barnes was my number one choice for a wing player (and no, I don't overrate him, I know what he's capable of and I don't have unrealistic expectations for what he could do for us.)  Moon is a better option but I have my doubts were gonna be able to get him.

Moon is way better than Barnes. Anyway pains me that we let Pietrus get away hope it does not happen again.

I like Wallace better then any of them.  House as solid as any of them.

Add a SG/SF like Moon or Bogans, Celtics have all the bench they need,
