Only person I can think of is Bonzi Wells

Reggie Miller or Steve Francis

  • Rondo = Good

Francis ended his career on an injury, and Miller is unlikely to come out of retirement now when the Big 3 have already tried to coax him and he has a TV career going for him.

Bonzi can still play, but it's an open question as to whether he wants to play for a low salary.

Dennis Rodman stated earlier this year that he would still be able to play 15-20 minutes a night in the NBA and that he would be willing to. Wish someone could get that to danny ainge

good god no! i do NOT want to have to watch that walking circus appear in a celtics uniform.

nope. it doesnt look as if the celtics will be diggin up graves or emptying out old folks homes for players soon.

and i think the euro-trash players usually make more money than ainge has to spend.

look's as if its back to the bargain basement sales on sf, or, a sign and trad for the celtics.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Bruce Bowen is 38, Grant Hill 37

Walter McCarty is 35...if he has stayed active, he's exactly the kind of player we're looking for too.

didn't Stanly Roberts try to make a comeback?

but seriously, hmmm... what's Gary Payton up to these days?  how bout Shawn Kemp, if he's not too busy making babies, and he's back to 220 or so....

I dunno, this is a tough thread to work out, it seems like most guys who retire, retire for a reason

Walter could handle Thibodeau's system, if his body has anything left and if we didn't use him too much. It's not all that different from Dick Harter's rotations. He doesn't have the athleticism of Moon, but it Moon hasn't even mastered basic NBA defense yet really, he gets by on his athleticism, while Walt knows it inside and out.

And really if we don't use our bench, we need to play man to man a lot more next season anyway. We should have tried it in that last game against the Magic and earlier. The officiating style had become less friendly to our defense and more friendly to small ball and stand around teams like the Magic.

Yeah it's not like we can just throw 2+ million at a Gary or Walter or Reggie as part of luring them back out. Especially Gary as he has a ring now.

A big part of the reason they retire in the first place is that nobody is willing or able to pay them enough to make it worth the struggle. Yeah they still have something left, but why grind yourself down another year at that age for the veteran minimum?

Stockton is out there too. Everybody knows he's still in great shape and that he could definitely play 10-15 a night if he wanted to, but even for a chance to contribute on a championship squad, the vet minimum is not much money to make it worth it. If the Jazz were contenders and needed a backup point guard, he'd probably consider it.

Antoine...just doesn't have a skill set we're looking for.

What's up with Jason Williams? Think of all the fake behind the back passes leading to missed layups we could generate with him and Rondo! Seriously, he was a good facilitator and those are hard to find.

I miss Rodman in the NBA so much, we're missing someone like him nowadays. I guess you could say Chris Andersen is the new Rodman but he's not even close talent-wise. Give him a 10 day contract?

shoot those threes, contest some shots. all we need.

Plus he can come and try to defend his 3PT title from his teammate... cause he's gaining on him.
