I liked Rogers more than I liked Fazekas, but all said, I'd much prefer Leon to either....

Still would like to find a spot for Karl. If we could swing a two or three for one type deal to free up a spot, I wouldn't mind having him around...Lofton had a good showing as well.

Ouch
If we need a big at the end of the bench I'd vote for Moore.
Fazekas isn't an nba player

If we are grabbing a big from our SL roster I would rather take my chances with Swift or Sweetney and hope their conditioning improves.

if we are looking to grab anyone form the summer league then we are in trouble....sweatney is out of shape and already hurt...swift is a stiff

maybe giddens OR walker deserve to make the team off the summer roster..the rest dont...i'd rather keep hudson with a broken finger than gabe...tony and gabe are two that need to be gone

Good call. I think that Walker and JR will get their chances this season.

Pruitt might test the trading block but i think he'll just have his option declined.

BUT i do think that TA stays and gets traded during the season.

Maybe Scal could get a buyout and resign for us. It wouldn't be in Scals financial interest but we can all dream....

  • Rondo = Good
Honestly, I'd rather take Swift as our 5th or 6th big man than Fazekas.  He's a 7 foot stiff but if he gets in better shape he can at least get some rebounds / put backs / an occasional block.

But if Fazekas continuously outplays him I'd rather have him. I'd rather play a skinny slower LaFrentz than a POB or destitute man's Montross

Mikki Moore < Robert Swift < Fazekas < Travis Knight

Valid points but Fazekas isn't a multi year vet like Moore, meaning he'd cost less. If I'm going to pay for ineptness I'd rather pay less for a young inept guy than a guy like Mikki

The difference between Fazekas' minimum salary ($736,420) and the league-subsidized salary for a veteran minimum with 2+ years experience ($825,497) is pretty negligible.  I suppose $90,000 counts for something, but it's not a major amount of money.

I thought Mikki was at the million plus level. I guess when you're over the luxury level it counts for double so it's $180,000

I guess a decision like that could be up to the coach. If he says something like "Fazekas is light years from Mikki" then I go with Mikki, but if he says In three years he could be a little better than Mikki" then I go with Fazek

At this point in his career, Mikki Moore is what he is. Doc didn't trust him enough to give him rotation minutes last year, there's no way he's changing his mind this year.

There are a lot of options out there before I'd go there. Theo Ratliff, Rasho Nesterovic, Oberto, Drew Gooden. They might take the LLE instead of the minimum, but way worth it.
