Stackhouse has at least 20 minutes/game in the tank...scores in bunches and always aggressive. If he fades we dump him at the deadline. Could be the perfect fit.

The sign & Trade Danny is doing involves Glen Davis. I believe since Bass is heading to Disney, Bbay is heading for the Pistons. He'll sign Davis and then trade him there for Kwame Brown. I'm all for it. Kwame Brown is a much better player than we think and could be even better with the C's.

i would rather keep baby than get kwame suck brown

my biggest fear is he gets here and breaks down..but i guess we have the allen and scal contracts to trade if need be...stack is younger than me (34) and i feel great. i thought he was closer to grant hill's age...he def. would be much better than walker behind PP. he had a pretty good season the year boston won the title so maybe the year off will have helped him...at this point boston needs to take a chance on some sort of wing and he is the most proven out there

No thanks.  He's the Marbury of small forwards.  The Celtics can do better.

I don't really like Stackhouse, but I wouldn't be opposed to him on the Cs for vet min, if Cs can't do better via S&T.  He would be an upgrade over the current Cs wings (TA, Walker, Scal).
Celtics fan for life.

And i think that the way he plays is the way Walker could develop to play, therefore it'd be nice to have him here for the young guys.

Meh. Scores at a very inefficient rate, needs a lot of shots, and very poor defender. I think there are better, younger options out there.

Oh, and

TP for making me laugh on a Saturday morning.

Jerry StackHouse is the lead candidate!!! ;D
I betcha. This is the perfect team for him. Truly Doc does not like playing the big 3 too much, but in the past he had to. Stack is a mirrored Paul Pierce, and He'll be even better than Paul because he more explosive, stronger, jumps higher and the players he'll be surrounded by is somewhat of a dream team. I don't call them the big 3 anymore since the arrival of Rasheed Wallace. I call them the SIX PACK. All 5 starters are legit + Rasheed Wallace.

Stack will have Eddie House shooting even higher this year than last, because he draws a whole lot of attention. Moon can't do that, because he's not a creator. He's more like Ariza or Posey. We already have Sheed for that. Last i'm all a lot of talks about his age ??? lol He has  many years of basketball left, because obviously he hasn't played many being that he's been hurt ie: Grant Hill. His game will be more favorable in teaching for Bill Walker to pick-up. Jerry StackHouse is coming to Boston!!! ;D who wants 1 house if you could afford 2 Houses? ****!!!

Stackhouse's efficiency has been pretty bad, and even before he was injured was already falling out of the rotation.

We have Sheed for defending bigs. He's not defending wings. I'd prefer Moon for the upside, and that our team is based on defense, making him fit the chemistry more. Stack also needs the ball to be effective; makes him kind of disrupt the offense we have.

Based on the Observation of the team the last 2 years, i'll say this...

Our Starters base there game off Great Defense which leads to Punishing Offense.

Our Bench are no match for other team starters on the defensive end, and other teams bench except for ours have that 1 scorer that we usually call the "Celtic Killa". Im the past Doc has tried to make Tony Allen the offensive initiator off the bench but Tony's inconsistent, out of control, isn't a creator for others, and he can't shoot. He's best at lurking the passing lanes deflecting passes.

Our Bench in 2008 had a great offensive combination of Posey, House, Scal, Baby, Powe, and PJ. They're all good @ what they do offensively that their offense became their defense. The team struggled miserably this year because of our offense. Rondo's Reluctance, and the Bench limited/inexperience.

Really?

I watched every game in 2008 and attended about 95% of the home games, and my impression was that our bench in 2008 regularly struggled on offense. I felt they could keep leads because of their defense. The bench offense seemed to be just running down the clock and hoisting jumpers.

Scal didn't really contribute in 2008 and PJ only contributed in the playoffs, so I don't see how they fit into your point.

First, why wasn't Stackhouse in the playoff rotation of the Mavs this past season? He was dressed to play so it appears he wasn't playing up to par.Why should we pick up someone the Mavs didn't use off their bench and place him on ours?

Didn't he have a bad wheel (foot) all last year?
