Sup guys,

I'm happy that Sheed is finally in the green and all but I think this move was really Ainge being desperate after seeing that other top teams added quality players to their team. Don't get me wrong, Sheed is a helluva player but I really don't think we needed a player of his caliber. We have a real good center top 10 center in the league easily that being Perk, we only needed to get some back up center whos a shot blocket and a banger. Sheed is not that. He can do fade-aways, hit 3's - is an average defender and not so good rebounder or shot blocker. We need someone like Anderson Varejao or the Birdman. At this point I think Lakers have advantage over us big time with Ron Artest.

PG - Fisher
SG- Kobe
SF- Artest
PF - Odom if he stays or whatever
C - Gasol

And I really don't want to talk about our bench. So far this off-season, C's organization get C

What did Mo Vaughn says about Boston fans back in the 90s?  Insert quote here please!

Yup, you're right, Rasheed Wallace is going to really hurt our already not so good bench. So instead of adding a player of Rasheed's "caliber" you'd rather go out and sign a bad player? Like Robert Swift or a Mikki Moore?...  ::)"Doh!" What? That doesnt even make sense...

By the way, when Rasheed played alongside Ben Wallace, he made Big Ben the best defender in the league, imagine what he is going to do alongside KG and Perkins....My mouth is drooling just thinking about it...

I see Boston with edges in 4 of those 5 players you mention for the Lakers.

Birdman just signed a big extension with the nuggs.

Main reason I wanted Birdman in Boston was to go watch the games live. Denver fans aren't known for being crazy and they had tons of kids in mohawks. You know if birdman was here we would have mohawk night at the garden.

As for the topic, I don't think you can name one backup big that is better than Rasheed. Rasheed doesn't mean we automatically win, but it brings us closer than last year. Best backup big atm? Przbilla? Come on. He's taking the spot of PJ Brown, and is unequivocally better than PJ.

First off, it's going to be Bynum starting.

OUr starting 5 is still the best in the league. Hell, how are we supposed to upgrade our starting 5? It's one of the best, most balanced and amazingly defensive minded in the league. We did not lose in the playoffs due to our starting 5, nor are games won based on starting 5 alone.
It's based on the bench, and as it stands, we have the best 4-5 on any bench.

I think that's a start.

Really? Bynum can't stay healthy and he gets out of shape fast. Gasol is their starting center.

I'd love to go against the lakers now with this team. Perk and Sheed play very physical, and Gasol does not handle that well at all.

Anyways, back to the discussion...Bogans is probably who I want the most, as well as bringing BBD back. He'd be a great combo with Rasheed as the back up big men.

Just the title of this thread says it all.  Either huge grudge from your days of watching him, or you REALLY think he got THAT much worse in a summer off.  This ugy IS going to help, IS going to play huge minutes, IS going to be effective, and IS going to help us toward Banner 18.

Give up the grudge, guy is a great player.

When Bynum can play, he starts. Phil also really likes Odom off the bench.

Remember, they might not even be able to keep Odom yet. For now it's safe to say Bynum's starting imo
