Even though I am happy to have Wallace in the team and I will be happy if Grant join us I am really worried how much injury-prone we are becoming.

#18 is coming...

I hear you but isn't that the "X" factor that is always there? I understand older stays injured longer but youth didn't help TA or Leon for ex..

This is exactly why we want to sign Grant and Sheed. The more depth you have the better you can deal with injuries. As well as the more depth you have the less each player needs to play and the less likely they will get injured.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yeah, depth is the only way to have an insurance policy against injuries to key guys.  Sheed sure would have helped this last year.

The C's still need a second back up center, even if he sucks just someone who is 7 feet tall, and can run up and down court.

Robert Swift?

We need insurance at the 1, 5, and 2/3. Just gotta find a competent swing man, and then a body at the other 2 spots. Oberto would be amazing, and then the other role with one of the young dudes as a 3rd string PG: Pruitt or Hudson. Someone who can bring the ball up the court and hit and outside shot.

Take comfort in knowing Doc will do his best to preserve the HOF's for the playoffs. Clearly he's learned from last season.

Oberto or Mihm would be the perfect 3rd string center, preferably Oberto, but I bet he goes back to San Antonio.

  • Rondo = Good
Well, look at it this way.  By adding Wallace, we're actually less vulnerable to injuries because if Perk or KG is injured we have a starter-caliber guy waiting off the bench.

Same deal for Grant - if Pierce is injured, it's a much smaller drop in talent to go from Pierce to Hill than to go from Pierce to Walker, Giddens, or Tony Allens.  It's still a huge drop, but not nearly as bad.

So adding Wallace and Hill only makes us less susceptible to injuries.  The better our bench gets, the less we have to worry about injuries.
