How does S&T work ?

I read yesterday on here about a S&T with the SUNS for Hill.  If Celtics did do that so Grant Hill can get more money,  can the LLE then be used on a PG,  Maybe Starbury.

No, we don't have his Bird rights.  We can only offer him a 120% pay increase from last season.

To answer the OP, yes, if we acquired Hill in a sign-and-trade, we'd still have the LLE left.  Phoenix would sign him using their "early Bird" rights, and would trade him to us.  They'd have to take back salary, though, which means they might not have an incentive to help us.

Yeah, i think it would make more sense to just sign him with the LLE (or someone else) and then trade Scal and Tony and company for another guy.
