They were reluctant to give Pose that extra year last year, but that year has now passed.
I think this isn't relevant. The point is;
1) We wouldn't have cap flexibility for an additional year
2) Posey's final year would be when he was 36, and Ainge estimated his decline a year earlier (which was why we offered him the 3 year deal in the first place)
3) It means we'd have Posey after the window of oppurtunity we have with the big 3, thus making him deadweight for about 1-2 years.
To be honest, I loved Posey when he was here. However, he didn't look that great in NO and already looked like he was on somewhat of a decline.
