Not as the first wing off the bench.

Bowen would be a good-to-very good option as the second wing off the bench.

Perfect to mentor Bill Walker and Giddens. More importantly could play a solid 10 minutes of hell raising defense on the other team's best wing.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

think of this

Rondo, Bowen, Pierce, KG, Perk

That rivals any defensive lineup in the league.

  • Rondo = Good
He's so old I don't think he's really worth it anymore.

But maybe for the minimum as the second wing as some others mentioned.

Bowen would be a good-to-very good option as the second wing off the bench.

I don't think we have the resources to grab a good first wing off the bench type if Hill turns us down.  I'd like Bowen.  I'd sign him and stash him for the playoffs.  He's a terrible fit with Tony Allen and House off the bench, but he'd be fine in 5-10 minute spurts spotting Ray or Paul with the rest of the starters in the playoffs.

I think we can get away with TA and Walker/Giddens off the bench for the majority of the year.  TA isn't half-bad as a regular season player anyways.

Speaking of Wally Z, he wouldn't make a half-bad pick-up either.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

He'd go nicely with our 3PT shooting lineup. not so much with our defensive one though... although he did show me something with Cleveland last year....

I don't know...I guess if Ray Is ok with it. Bowen is a good shooter and a solid defender(no longer elite), but his dirty play is a real turn off. He's not a player I would want to root for.

If he gets bought out, wouldn't he go right back to San Antonio?

And if San Antonio doesn't want to re-sign him, wouldn't that tell us everything that we needed to know?

There's old, and then there's OLD.  Grant Hill is old, but he was still a [dang] good balled last year.  Bowen can't defend nearly as well as he used to any more, and he was a 2.7ppg scorer.
