After seeing that feature that ESPN ran on him during the 08 Finals, this man can deal with anything. It's unfortunate that the business side of things can appear so ugly sometimes.

He'll be an asset to whoever signs him. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the Celtics will find a roster spot for him.

Wow... I don't know how to take this piece of news. I'm glad for Leon that he seems ready to succeed in his rehab, work hard, so he can sign a contract with an NBA team but I still hope and wish he can comeback with us.

However he really seems to have turned the page, and Danny won't go back to him when he will be healthy again, that's for sure... so it's very unlikely that Leon come backs with the Celtics at a point next season. That's why I just hope that he will find a good team where he can play extended minutes and contribute.

I hope you are right that we regret it because it will mean that Leon's future is much brighter.  However, come on, it was the right move with all the uncertainty ahead in terms of rehab.

Best case scenerio is he rocks through rehab and we snag him back.  Hopefully worst case scenerio is that he still rocks through rehab and someone else gives him a shot.  Either way, get well soon Leon.

Seems to me that all things considered, Leon isn't a 7/1 and likely not a 7/15 FA either.  We may still get a chance to sign him later on this summer.  Lets hope we do...

There can only be good in this for Leon, either some other team makes him a decent deal, or he comes back to the Celts for slightly more than he made last year.  That's as much of a win/win as a dude on his 4th knee surgery can expect, imho.
