On a completely unrelated note:

Wally Szczerbiak is on the trading block.

He can play the 2. He can play the 3. He can post up.

And he has consistently been among the top 20 three point shooters in the league for the better part of this century!!!

Lack outside shooting and a guy off the bench to spread the floor? Wally is your guy!!!!

Good news for the always amicable nickagneta.

Marc Berman, New York Post: "The Knicks' tango with Ramon Sessions(notes) could wrap up tomorrow, according to his agent. Chubby Wells, agent for the young Bucks point guard, told The Post yesterday Sessions could accept a Knicks offer either today or tomorrow. 'We've been playing footsie with the Knicks the last two weeks,' Wells said. 'I'm sure we'll clarify something in the next couple days with the Knicks or another team and figure out what's going on.' The Clippers, who waived guard Mike Taylor(notes), are the other team involved, but the Knicks appear to be the frontrunners because they are able to offer Sessions a starting role. In a nutshell, Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni is lobbying to sign Sessions, 23, but team president Donnie Walsh is concerned a long-term deal starting at the mid-level exception of $5.8 million will compromise the Knicks' 2010 salary cap space, even though free-agent forward David Lee(notes) could be headed for a one-year pact."

This dramatically increases Ramon Sessions's value. Part of the reason I traded him in the first place was because the NY media was reporting they weren't gonna sign a deal with him.
Ramon Sessions as the starting PG in Mike D'Antoni's 7 seconds or less offense!!!!

Is that 18 points and 10 assists on average I smell?

Haha...I think that's possible...he averaged roughly 12 pts and 6 assists last season.

Yeah, it could happen.

I wonder about Sessions' fit with D'Antoni, though.  Doesn't he prefer guards who can hit the three?

What, 17% doesn't work for you as a primary option?

He'll have Wilson Chandler, Gallinari and Harrington. They can all hit a deep ball.

I think he first prefers PGs who like to run the ball up the floor in a flash and dish to an open man before the defense establishes itself first. If that PG can also hit the three, that's gravy.

Do you often find yourself saying, " What my team needs is another allstar!' Are you having trouble finding an elite player at one of the most important positions in basketball? Do you need a player who can help lead a team to the conference finals?
Well come on down to the Mo Williams auction.

Not now.

At least he didn't bomb out of the league.
