Center DeAndre Jordan, Texas A&M University

Good player for a young team.

Not a great fit for a team that wants to win now.  Lebron will kill him.

I wanted DeAndre but he was scooped out from under me at the last second.  Yi probably has the most upside of any guy 6'9" or above thats left.

Plus he'll sell tickets and reel in that Chinese fanbase.  It'll really help stir up tourism in Cuba.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Fidel actually made me take Yi for that exact reason.   ;D

that sounds good on paper Roy, but I guess I don't understand why he wouldn't fit ---- it's that same sort of logic that said Powe or Big Baby couldn't contribute on a title team (and to a lesser degree that Rondo or Perk wouldn't).

(BTW, really, he'd be a horrible fit on a young team --- the notion that all young people develop together is a fallacy IMO.  The Bulls tried that and failed a few years back, then overreacted and went with Ben Wallace)

Championship teams are a mix of players --- Jordan right now is our backup center. We're asking him to come in, block some shots, rebound, score a little - all things he can do. He's not ready to start, but he can be a solid piece of our run at a title.

EDIT/NOTE: we could switch the debate to another team --- i'm not trying to be defensive about *our* guy, more trying to tease out what I think is a little bit of a misconception about "fit" that's been repeated a lot throught this year's and last year's fake draft.

DeAndre Jordan is the Gerald Green of big men.  All athleticism, no commitment or basketball IQ.  He'll put up some decent games in garbage time or on a bad team, but in close games, he's going to really hurt.

Posturing aside, I'm glad you took him, because he's not ready to step up.  There's a reason he slid to the second round.

I was thinking... We should extend the draft 1 round and have coaches (along with their staff) eligible. Maybe not this year but next?
