For the sake of bringing peace to the league...the Bulls offer 5.21 for Gilbert. You can take a real point guard who will last the season at 5.21  ;D

Reasons why I don't think Gilbert Arenas will be playing at the level he was in 2006/2007:

Games played since initial MCL injury: 15
Time since initial MCL injury: 2 years, 3 months, 20 days

I'm not saying Gilbert can't play, I'm saying you don't have a superstar anymore. You still have a solid player with a chip on his shoulder which is never a bad thing.
I agree with all of those points.  However that is the most positive thing a single person has said about him

Here's something positive for ya...

last time agent 0 had a chip on his shoulder was when he was selected with the 31st pick in the draft and never left the bench his rookie year.

his response? all he did was win MIP the following year and average 18+ ppg for the next 6 years.

If i were you, i'd really be playing up this "no respect" angle here.  It's already something he's used to motivate himself in the past.

Did someone just admit that Gilbert's value is a 5.20? ;)

Not incapable.  Just not as effective.

And for Diaw, get a SG.  Send him to the bench to back up your bigs.  It will give your team much more balance.

Explain why Diaw, who shot 41% from three last year and was excellent at distributing the ball, starting makes the team unbalanced.
1. He's too slow to guard any 2's
2. He needs to play the 3 or the 4 to be close to the basket so he can get boards (on offense and on defense), he is a pretty good rebounder for a three.
3. He gets open 3's because of the match up problems he causes when being guarded by big men, at the two he'll get less open three's.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I just wish somebody could provide a report of him not being ready
There were a lot of reports that Darius Miles was ready to play and be a basketball player again. Turns out they were right but after 2 1/2 years and multiple years of rehabbing and being away from NBA speed and physicality it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to be the Darius Miles of 2005 and 2006, before the injury.

That's why the skepticism. We don't hate the guy but we aren't convinced by reports of the team that owes him tens of millions of dollars to be a top ten player, that he will be that player. They and all the people around him have to say those things or else ticket sales in Washington are going to plummet and the team is going to lose huge amounts of money.

Well its a good thing he's not playing the 2.

I already have you down for the two Yahoo! leagues I run, LB17.

For this exercise, I'm pretty sure we have a full boat, but someone may need a co-manager. Follow along to see if/when that's the case.

Just curious KC, if your team played the real Celtics, who guards Pierce and who guards Ray?
